Ashton-Under-Lyne Brass Band

Area Disappointment (but renewed optimism) 1st March 2012 Ashton band were obviously dissapointed to be placed 11th in the area's on the 26th of March. The band had made excellent progress and put together a performance which we enjoyed and felt to be of a high standard. As is sometimes the case with contests, our interpretation did not seem to be what the adjudicator was looking for. Renewed optimism - the progress that the band has made still leaves us with renewed optimism, with Tameside contest and the Spring Festival to look forward to. Simon Stonehouse joins Ashton Band 5th January 2012 Ashton Brass Band are delighted to announce that Simon Stonehouse has joined the band as our new Musical Director taking us to the Area and beyond. This is a really exciting opportunity for us , especially with such an exciting test piece to work on & the band would like to extend our warmest welcome......
