Ashton Brass Band

Ashton-Under-Lyne brass band is Tameside's only Championship section Brass Band.

Formed in 1996 by a group of players who had originally met while playing for the
band as teenagers, the band rose to prominence with a record breaking run which saw
them win consecutive national titles in the third, second & first sections earning
promotion to the Championship section in 1999.

This feat has not been matched since.
